Introducing Warp
Warp is an ultra small form-factor embedded computer system targeted towards the development and creation of wearables, sensors, and IoT devices. As one of the smallest boards with an outline of 16mm x 38mm, it packs a powerful set of features including its powerful processor and communication capabilities. As an embedded system, it runs Linux or Android providing a whole host of powerful compute capabilities. Warp has been developed as a development system / reference design aimed at innovators and developers working on highly integrated devices.
Ultimately, Warp’s small form-factor lends itself well towards a multitude of applications: medical devices, smart-home sensors and remote monitoring (IoT), navigation and control computer for UAVs, rockets and drones, human machine interfaces for next-gen gaming, and many other applications.
Enabling innovation and creative design
Small form-factor devices require a careful balance of size vs performance while considering factors like battery life, connectivity, and user interface, not to mention that developing a platform like Warp from the ground up is a substantial endeavor. Warp was created as a springboard for innovators and designers to solve many of these challenges and act as a building block that can be integrated into just about any design.
Warp truly enables a rapid prototyping cycle due to is expandable design. Like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, Warp provides useful building blocks and frameworks for expansion and customization making it easy to try out ideas and validate concepts early in the design cycle. Because warp is form-factor ready, it allows ideas to be brought to life in final form factor allowing designers to focus on the creative and innovative aspect of design all while minimizing up front investment.
When design complete, it’s fully open-source nature meaning you can directly integrated it into the final product and take it to market quickly. Warps ecosystem and surrounding community can help with commercial productization and design support as needed.
